Fall 2009

We've had quite a few opportunities to celebrate fall this year. The weather has been quite mild and so it has lasted longer than most fall seasons.

We went out to the farm to rake leaves one beautiful Sunday afternoon. We burned the leaves, used the chain saw and cleaned up the place. This only lasted a short time because a few days later mom told me more leaves had fallen and it almost looked like we hadn't been there at all!

On November 11, we had a fire and wiener roast at our house to remember the costs of wars and to think about ways to build peace within ourselves, our families, communities, and between countries. We sang some songs, had some readings and prayed. Then we roasted hot dogs and bannock, ate chili and chips outside in the lovely weather.
