Winnipeg Cake
Here's a cake from out of my childhood. It's a complete mystery why it is called Winnipeg Cake because it seems very few of the ingredients make one think "Winnipeg". Inside the cake, besides the usual cake ingredients, there are dates. The topping has pecans, chocolate chips and lots of brown sugar.
In the end, the name doesn't matter; it's a really good cake.

What do you do with lots of green tomatoes?
Make green tomato pie.

It didn't taste good to most people.

We won't make it again.

We'll "lose" the recipe.

Or as grandpa once said "We'll remember to lose the recipe."
