BROWN BELTS!

Erik and Conrad have earned brown belts in Tae Kwon Do!

Above: Here they are the day of the final test -- still wearing their red belts.

To give you some perspective:

• They started Tae Kwon Do lessons when we arrived in Laos.
• It has taken them 5 years of going twice a week to get to this stage.
  

Order of Belts

• White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, Brown, Black
  
• Black belts continue up to 10 -- indicating instructor status and other achievements.

A Boring Brown Belt

To celebrate their achievement, Arthur and I bought them each a brown leather belt to hold up their pants. Needless to say, they were more excited about the Tae Kwon Do belts!
