Highlights of the Week

It's harvest time in Manitoba. The photo above shows some of the land Arthur's parents own. Arthur's parents no longer farm the land but they rent it to neighbors who already harvested this section.

Having a Wiener Roast is a great Manitoba tradition. Erik and Conrad built a fire and then we all cooked wieners for supper.

Add a bun, potato chips, carrot sticks and some pickles and you've got yourself a meal.

The photo below shows three happy boys. Conrad and Erik reconnected with Matthew, a former neighbor and a forever friend. These boys have similar interests and imaginations and with that combination, the fun never ends.

This was a week of meeting with former SALTers. Here are Conrad, Robyn and Phyllis...... and Erik, Shannon and Arthur out for dinner at the Forks.
We had dinner with Maryanne (Malee) at her place. Malee was a SALTer the first year we were in Laos.

Nikaela (also former SALTer) outside of the dress shoppe where she works.
